Antonio De Chiara — Independent debt-position analyst

Before you pay, let’s understand it together.

Support for unpaid bills, reminders and debt collection notices regarding electricity, gas, water and — subject to specific verification — telephone services.

I review your situation, check the documents and look for a clear, sustainable, out-of-court solution together with you.

The problem

When a payment request arrives, more questions are usually left than answers.

A letter, a phone call, a reminder. Amounts that don’t add up, invoices from years ago, companies you don’t recognise, communications piling on top of each other. And one thought keeps coming back: am I really paying the right amount? Is this bill still owed, or is it too old? Who is this debt-collection company? Can I ask for an instalment plan or an out-of-court settlement? Where do I start?

It is not always about paying immediately. Often, it is first of all about understanding.

You are not alone. Every year, many households receive payment requests on overdue utility bills. Approaching them with method makes that moment easier to handle.

A simple principle

Before you pay, it makes sense to understand.

Paying when you are informed is different from paying in a hurry. Paying right away, without checking, may seem the easiest option. In practice, it is almost always the least informed one.

There are situations in which a preliminary documentary review opens up real room for clarification or negotiation:

  • sometimes useful documents are missing and need to be requested;
  • sometimes the amounts claimed deserve a careful check;
  • sometimes a sustainable instalment plan can be proposed;
  • sometimes a settlement proposal can be evaluated;
  • sometimes — on a strictly preliminary basis and subject to any interruptive acts — apparently time-barred amounts may emerge that deserve further documentary review.

Nothing is automatic. Nothing is guaranteed in advance. Only what the documents allow us to verify and what the negotiation allows us to propose. Everything starts from the documents.

How I can help you

Orderly, step-by-step support.

I provide administrative, documentary and negotiation support of a non-judicial and non-forensic nature. In plain words: I help you reconstruct your position, talk to the providers and look for an out-of-court solution.

  • Review of the bills, letters and reminders you have received.
  • Reconstruction of your overall debt position.
  • Requests for statements and documentation from the providers.
  • Preliminary check on amounts that appear time-barred, subject to any interruptive acts.
  • Request for copies of any interruptive acts, with proof of dispatch and receipt.
  • Drafting of requests for clarification, correction and documentary verification, in an out-of-court setting.
  • Sustainable instalment proposals.
  • Settlement proposals.
  • Communication with providers and debt-collection companies.
  • Document organisation.
  • Referral to qualified professionals in cases that require technical defence or reserved assessments.
The method

Five clear stages. No surprises.

A linear path, where you always know where you stand and what is happening.

First listening

You tell me your situation and show me the documents you have received. I tell you straight away what I can do and what I cannot, honestly and without jargon.

Document collection

I guide you in gathering bills, reminders, contracts and statements. If anything is missing, we discuss how to request it from the providers.

Position analysis

I read each document carefully, reconstruct the timeline of the debt and identify anomalies, duplications or amounts that deserve a closer documentary review.

Out-of-court strategy

Together we define the most sensible approach: clarification requests, documentary verification, instalment proposal or settlement. You always have the final say.

Dialogue and solution

I handle the contacts with the provider or the debt-collection company on your behalf. Written, traceable and professional communications. I keep you informed at every step.

Why it is useful

Tackling a debt with method changes everything.

More clarity

You will know exactly where you stand, document by document.

Less confusion

A single point of contact who speaks to providers on your behalf.

Orderly communications

Letters, emails and certified messages, properly tracked and timed.

Sustainable negotiation

Proposals built on your actual ability to pay.

Documentary verification

Each amount is examined with the supporting evidence in hand.

Greater peace of mind

Knowing where you stand is already half the work.

Professional dialogue

With providers and debt collectors the tone changes — and tone matters.

The goal is not to promise miracles. It is to bring order, transparency and sustainability back into a situation that often feels stuck.
Transparency on costs

Clear costs, before we start.

The fee is always agreed before any work begins. Never afterwards. Never as a surprise.

Initial fee

Recognised for the documentary review and the reconstruction of the debt position.

Result-based fee

Recognised only in case of a positive outcome, calculated proportionally to the benefit actually obtained.

No hidden costs. No impossible promises. No engagement without a written, shared estimate. You are always the one who decides whether to proceed.

Transparency

What I do not do.

Transparency comes before sales. Knowing where my role ends helps you understand when, and to whom, you should turn for the rest.

  • I am not a law firm and I do not carry out activities reserved by law to lawyers.
  • I do not draft court documents and I do not represent clients in court.
  • I do not guarantee debt cancellations, automatic time-bars or guaranteed settlements: every result depends on the documents and the negotiation.
  • I do not replace an accountant or a lawyer in cases that require their specialist input.
  • In complex cases that require technical defence or reserved assessments, I refer to qualified professionals I trust.

My value lies in administrative and negotiation support: documentary review, organisation, dialogue with providers and debt collectors, and the search for out-of-court solutions.

Getting started

Don’t pay blindly. Let’s clarify things first.

A clear first listening, with no commitment. If you have received reminders, debt-collection requests or bills that don’t add up, don’t let the situation grow heavier on its own.

Gather

Bills, reminders and any communications you have received, even if disorganised.

Send

Send the documents for a first review, by email or certified email.

Receive an estimate

You receive a written estimate before you decide whether to proceed.

What to bring (or send):

  • recent and overdue bills;
  • reminders, notices and any communications received;
  • letters from debt-collection companies;
  • payment receipts, even partial ones;
  • any other communication, even if it seems minor.
Contacts

Write to me and attach the documents you have received. The first step is to understand.
